When JPL Group faced the surging demands of online shopping, they required a robust e-commerce fulfilment strategy for retailers Farmers, Whitcoulls, and Stevens in New Zealand. The challenge was twofold: manage the increasing volume of online orders and optimise space in their new distribution centre to accommodate a diverse product range.

Dexion stepped in with innovative solutions. We installed a three-tier mezzanine system, mirroring the SKU assortment of Farmers’ physical stores, ensuring every item was easily accessible for online customers. To enhance movement within the facility, advanced conveyors and Amberflex Spiralveyors were employed, ensuring efficiency and smooth operation.

The introduction of Dexion’s Real-Time Distribution System (RDS) was a game-changer. This cutting-edge software facilitated a paperless picking environment and integrated put-to-light modules, streamlining the order fulfilment process. This strategic approach led to an impressive outcome, with the system’s capability to efficiently process up to 3,000 online orders daily setting new standards in e-commerce fulfilment and space optimisation.
