Dexion contracted for supply of Longspan2 racking to safely store WA Police new Body Armour Vests
February 2020 DEXION BALCATTA Awarded the Contract with the Western Australian Police Force for the supply of the racking system customised to be used at sites throughout the whole state of Western Australia to safely store the new Body Armour Vests.
Dexion Balcatta’s project team have supplied to over 250 sites for the WA Police Force throughout the State.
Over this last year for the Dexion Longspan2 Shelving system Racking.
Modified to include Spigots to suit safe storage of the new Police Body Armour Vests.

- Local Builders
- Site Superintendents and Police Staff
- and the WA Police Body Armour Roll Out Team.

To ensure even in these COVID and logistically challenging times that we have kept well ahead of schedule and supplied as the vests were rolled out to all the sites throughout Western Australia.
The Project has Included:
- Large Operational areas – where assistance with space planning design was provided including
- Dexion Compactus® solutions.
- Each Rack at 1800mm wide is made to safely house 27 Body armour vests that weight up to 10kg each
evenly spaced to allow for good ventilation and ease of access. - General Sites – supplied standard modules and installed or shipped out for locals to install.
- Country and remote sites supplied and installed or shipped out in CKD for local contracted installations.
DEXION BALCATTA also offered customised configuration’s using the versatile Longspan2 shelving & Compactus® systems to compliment the standard 3 Tier Body Armour racks such as shelving for Shield’s and Helmet storage and workbench with vest hanging racks below or 2 tier units fitted with shelf above or below to allow for heavy Kit bag storage to make the most of the valuable space available at each site.
